CRG-2013.jpg

IN KZ1 MAX VERSTAPPEN LEADS THE RANKING FOLLOWED BY JORRIT PEX: THEY ARE BOTH READY TO BATTLE ON THE SPANISH TRACK TOO. IN KF FELICE TIENE COMES BACK ON THE TRACK WHERE HE WON LAST YEAR'S KF2 WORLD TITLE. GOOD EXPECTATIONS ALSO FOR THE SPANISH ALEX PALOU. THE JAPANESE YUTA SHIRAISHI IS AT HIS DEBUT ON CRG. IN KFJ PRIVATE TEAMS AT THE START.

Lonato del Garda (Brescia - Italy). This weekend, with the arrival of the spring, it is time for the second round of the WSK Euro Series in Spain, in Zuera, where the CRG official team is ready to play - as usual - a leading role and to show the excellent performing qualities of its technical equipment in all the categories.

The event in schedule on the fast racetrack of Zuera (Spain) is definitely an important one: after the event the situation of the rankings is definitely going to be interesting and, with the four round championship at its halfway point, we will be able to have a clearer idea about the values of drivers and teams, with CRG, especially in KZ1, standing a great chance to confirm its leadership and to widen its lead in the ranking thanks to Max Verstappen and Jorrit Pex.

VERSTAPPEN AND PEX LEAD IN KZ1. Max Verstappen (CRG-Tm) is defending his leadership in KZ1. He can boast a full success in the first round of Muro Leccese and 85 points in the ranking. Verstappen is followed by his teammate of CRG Holland Jorrit Pex (CRG-Tm), 40 points.

Great expectations in Zuera also for the performance of the 2012 KZ2 World champion Jordon Lennox-Lamb, immediately competitive in Muro Leccese too despite his bad luck for an accident in Race-2. At his debut in the top category, the KZ1, he was immediately among the best drivers.

Jonathan Thonon and Davide Forè, both on CRG-Maxter, are ready to redeem themselves after their unlucky performances in Muro Leccese, where they got involved in some accidents and had some technical troubles. The two CRG drivers have to climb up the ranking as well as Fabian Federer, excellent poleman with the CRG-Modena but then, during the races, slowed down by penalties at the start and involved in a couple of accidents in his first race of the year in the WSK Euro Series.

Among the private drivers racing with CRG, in KZ1 Andrea Dalè (CRG-Maxter) and Lorenzo Camplese (CRG-Tm), in KZ2 the Spanish Luis Gonzales, Alvaro Gomez Oriol, Suarez Villanueva.

IN KF CRG STRIKES BACK. In the KF category, CRG keeps on developing the new Parilla engine and, on this occasion too, CRG fields a good number of top drivers, beginning with the reigning world champion in KF2 Felice Tiene, who won last year's title right on the track of Zuera with a terrific "hat-trick" preceding Verstappen and Lennox. Togetehr with Tiene the Spanish Alex Palou, who is expected to do a good performance on his home circuit and who did well at his debut in this category in Muro Leccese too, and the Finnish Niclas Nylund, the Japanese Fuma Horio, the Canadian Zachary Claman DeMelo, all on CRG-Parilla.

From this appointment onward, at his debut on CRG, another interesting Japanese driver, Yuta Shiraishi, tenth in one of last year's finals in Macau in the KF1 World Championship and near to his debut in car-racing in Formula Abarth.

FOCUS ON THE KFJ YOUNG DRIVERS. In the KF Junior, CRG participates with private teams and several young drivers, such as the DFR team which fields the interesting Devlin De Francesco, then Forza Racing with the quick Robert Shwartzman and Billy Monger, PF International with Philip Rawson, CRG Holland with Stan Pex, and the Spanish drivers of the M2 Racing team, Marta Garcia, Xavier Lloveras and Lisard Santos.

Also the LH Racing team has a good number of competitive drivers. In KF, with Lewis Hamilton's brand, there are the Danish Kevin Rossel, the two Finnish Jussi Kuusiniemi and Johannes Heinonen, the Spanish Pedro Hiltbrand Aguilar. In KFJ the LH team fields the Finnish Niko Kari and the Belgian Matteo Raspatelli.

In this appointment also the 60 Mini, which will run again for the WSK Euro Series on 21st April in Sarno for the event which will assign the title for this category.

PROGRAMME. Friday 22nd April. Free practice from 8.20 to 17.35.

MAX VERSTAPPEN DOMINATES THE KZ1 WITH JORRIT PEX THIRD ON THE PODIUM OF FINAL FINAL-2 AFTER THE FIRST TWO PLACES OF FINAL 1 ON SATURDAY. LENNOX AND FEDERER GOT INVOLVED IN A CRASH.
IN KF GOOD DEBUT FOR ALEX PALOU. IN THE 60 MINI THE LEADER IS ELISEO MARTINEZ OF THE GAMOTO TEAM.

La Conca (Lecce - Italy). Another terrific victory for CRG in KZ1 thanks to the young and fast Dutch driver Max Verstappen: with his CRG-Tm, on the International circuit La Conca of Muro Leccese dominated the first round of the WSK Euro Series. Also Verstappen's teammate, Jorrit Pex, always on CRG-Tm, did a great performance and deservedly stepped onto the podium of Sunday's Final after placing second in Saturday's Final.

In this first round of the international season of the Euro Series, CRG in KZ1 was the absolute protagionist thanks to many of its drivers. And the final result could have been even more resounding if Fabian Federer, poleman in qualifying on his CRG chassis powered by Modena Engines, and
Jordon Lennox-Lamb, who achieved an impressing series of excellent performances on his CRG chassis powered by Maxter, had not got involved in a crash during Sunday's final.

The flawless and overwhelming double success achieved by Max Verstappen in the two finals on Saturday and Sunday - at his first experience in KZ1, besides confirming the usual performing qualities of the CRG chassis in the most powerful category of international karting - is a further sign of the great talent of the young, Dutch driver, who is getting more and more successful. The son of the former F1 driver Jos Verstappen is literally dominating the ranking of this first part of the season: his previous wins in the WSK Master Series in KZ2 and in the Winter Cup in KF2 say it all..

“This year is very important for me - confirmed Verstappen after his triumph in KZ1 in Muro Leccese - . I aim at winning in all the categories, both in KF and in KZ. Next year I'll move to car-racing and I'd like to win as many titles as possible in karting. I race in ideal condition, with a fantastic CRG chassis and powered by a really competitive TM engine. I'm really happy for how my season has begun. In La Conca the weekend was good for all of us, for me and for Jorrit Pex too, also thanks to excellent team work. On Saturday we arrived in first and second, on Sunday first and third. A great beginning thanks to CRG and TM. I felt like fying..."

IN KZ1 VERSTAPPEN AND PEX RULE. After this first round, Max Verstappen and Jorrit Pex occupy the first two positions of the WSK Euro Series in KZ1, with 85 and 40 points respectively.
About the other CRG drivers in KZ1, there is some disappointment for Jordon Lennox-Lamb: powered by a Maxter engine directly prepared by the Factory, he placed fourth in the first Saturday's final, while on Sunday's final, after starting from first position, he was obliged to retire for a contact with Fabian Federer which damaged one of the wheel-rims. Federer, on the other hand, after setting a record lap in qualifying, had to be content with the 8th place in race 2 after placing 10th in race 1. In race 1, anyway, Federer was the protagonist of a great recovery from the bottom of the pack where he got relegated after being hit by some penalties during the heats. In Sunday's final Davide Forè, on CRG-Maxter, managed to place 11th despite a sore hand he got after an accident with his teammate Andrea Dalè. For Jonathan Thonon it was a troubled weekend despite his speed was excellent. Some technical troubles in Final-2 obliged him to give in despite a promising series of overtaking manoeuvres at the beginning of the race.
In KZ2 victory went o Marco Zanchetta on Maranello. In Final 2, on Sunday, Giovanni Martinez on CRG-Maxter achieved a promising 8th place. On the other hand, Daniele Delli Compagni (CRG-Tm), who in the first final on Saturday placed 9th, was obliged to retire.

ALEX PALOU IN KF IS IMMEDIATELY COMPETITIVE. In KF the Spanish Alex Palou, on CRG-Parilla, at his debut in this category after last year's victory in KF3, showed all his performing qualities. He managed to enter the Superpole after qualifying and then, did well in the heats and he even won in the last qualifying race, although he was eventually hit by a 10-second penalty for jump start. In the Pre-final he closed the gap and reached the 8th place. Then, in the final, he arrived in 12th. Tough start in KF2, on the other hand, for Felice Tiene: he is engaged in the development of the new Parilla engine and, in the Final, he did not manage to start for a trouble with the carburettor. Other troubles and accidents occurred to the other CRG divers, such as the Finnish Niclas Nylund, 22nd in the Final, and Zachary Claman DeMelo, 28th after a promising 13th place in the Pre-final and a second place in one of the heats. In qualifying the Japanese Fuma Horio got involved in a series of accidents and he did not manage to enter the final phase.
The best performance among the LH Racing Team drivers was achieved by the Spanish Pedro Hiltbrand Aguilar, on LH-Parilla, with a good 13th place in the Final.

IN KFJ STAN PEX IS THE BEST. In KF Junior, the best among the CRG private drivers was Stan Pex, 15th in the Final, while Billy Monger (19th) and Robert Shwartzman (21st), both driving for Forza Racing, finished a bit behind. Devlin De Francesco, in the Final, got disqualified for not having taken heed of a warning. That is a real shame, because the American driver had finished 8th at the end of the heats.

MARTINEZ'S BID FOR THE 60 MINI TITLE. In the 60 Mini there was the confirmation of the great competitiveness of the Gamoto Team and of its drivers on CRG/Hero-Lke. They were all protagonists of the race until the final victory of the Spanish Eliseo Martinez and of the second place of the Malaysian Abdul Gafar Muizzuddin. With this excellent result, the two young drivers are leading the ranking with 85 and 40 points respectively: this could be a winning bid for the title which will be assigned next round in Sarno on 21st April.

NEXT EVENT. The second round of the WSK Euro Series is in Zuera on 24th March.

THE INTERVIEWS. Euan Jeffery, CRG team manager CRG: “In KZ1 we had another great weekend thanks to Max Verstappen, who won almost all. He just missed victory in one of the heats because he slipped on the water leaked from the radiator of one of his rivals. His performance in KZ1 was really amazing. Jorrit Pex, too, did well and gained a well deserved podium. We are sorry for Jordon Lennox-Lamb and Fabian Federer. they got involved in a crash. On the whole, this race too showed how outstanding are the qualities of the CRG chassis: there were moments in the Final where we could see 7-8 CRG drivers in the first 15 positions. Both Thonon and Forè had some technical troubles, otherwise they would have been able to achieve a good result too. In KF2 we met some problems in developing the new Iame engine but we are sure we can reach the necessary competitiveness to battle for victory. In KFJ we did quite well also with the young drivers of the private teams, but in the final, for a series of problems, they did not manage to reach the first positions. In the 60 Mini the Gamoto Team, with our chassis, played the leading role of the category throughout the whole weekend."

Max Verstappen: “The weekend started well and ended even better. We were fast since free practice. We had some troubles in qualifying, but the third place was not too bad. Then, for the heats, we changed the setting of the chassis and we easily won. I did not win any heat because I slipped off the track when I put my tyres on the water leaked from someone's kart: I arrived first and I went off the track."

Jorrit Pex: “For me it was a good weekend. I was always in the top positions and very close to max, who this time was really unbeatable. I'm happy for the result, because both I and Verstappen were on the podium. A double podium which is really satisfactory for us."

Jordon Lennox-Lamb: “I made a mistake in the start of Final 1, where I was in the front row. I dropped back and I had a contact with Federer. I damaged the wheel-rim and I had to pull over. Anyway, I'm happy for the way my first week in KZ1 went. I was always among the top drivers powered by my Maxter engine directly prepared by the Factory. This is very important for me."

Jonathan Thonon: “I didn't get a good result, but my laps were really good, both in the heats and in the finals. This is my first race of the year and I'm happy for the speed reached. In the Final, before my retirement, I did a series of good overtaking manoeuvres, but a technical trouble obliged me to stop. That's a shame because I felt at my ease on the kart and the chassis was really excellent. I could have finished with the top drivers. The weekend confirmed that the CRG chassis in KZ1 are the overall most performing and this is a good thing for the Company."

Alex Palou: “This is my first experience in KF2 and it is not easy, especially because my rivals are really strong. It is harder than in KF3; here the skill of the drivers is much better. I find at my ease with the driving: the front brake that they have in KF2 is new for me, but I didn't have particular troubles. I hope to do well as soon as possible, starting from the next race on my home circuit in Zuera."

CRG-2013.jpg

ANOTHER WIN OF MAX VERSTAPPEN AND, THIS TIME, IN KZ1, WITH JORRIT PEX EXCELLENT RUNNER-UP AFTER HIS EARLY LEAD IN FINAL -1. ON SUNDAY THE LONGED-FOR SECOND FINAL OF THIS FIRST ROUND OF THE WSK EURO SERIES, WITH JORDON LENNOX THIRD, THREE CRG CHASSIS IN THE FIRST FOUR PLACES.

La Conca (Lecce - Italy). Max Verstappen is unstoppable and wins hands down also in KZ1 in the opening round of the WSK Euro Series on the international circuit La Conca of Muro Leccese. The Dutch driver on CRG-Tm wins the first final on Saturday after winning the two qualifying heats in the morning.

VERSTAPPEN'S FIRST SUCCESS IN KZ1. After winning in KZ2 in the first round of the WSK Master Series at the beginning of February and, a fortnight later, in KF2 in the Winter Cup of Lonato, Max Verstappen was simply unbeatable also in KZ1 in this first of the WSK Euro series.

The excellent CRG's result in the first KZ1 Final on Saturday was completed by the second place achieved by Jorrit Pex (CRG-Tm), CRG Holland's standard-bearer, who got an early lead deservedly but was then obliged to give in when Verstappen closed the gap - the Dutch driver had lost some positions at the start.
For CRG the 'hat-trick' was completed by the excellent fourth position of Jordon Lennox-Lamb on CRG-Maxter directly prepared by the factory. He, too, led an outstanding race and arrived in fourth, even setting the fastest time.

In the top ten there is also Andrea Dalè, on CRG-Maxter, eighth. Bad luck, on the other hand, for Friday's poleman Fabian Federer, on CRG-Modena, who wasted his advantage with two jump-starts in the two morning heats: both the jump-starts were punished by 10-second penalties. So, in his final he had to close the gap and he managed to recover as far as 11th place.
Davide Forè (CRG-Maxter) placed 14th preceding Lorenzo Camplese (CRG-Tm), while Jonathan Thonon was obliged to retire for a technical trouble after an excellent series of overtaking manoeuvres and fast laps.

in KZ2 Final-1, won by Negro, Alfredo Delli Compagni on CRG-Tm placed 9th, Giovanni Martinez (CRG-Maxter), at his debut in this category, 13th after closing the gap from the bottom of the pack.

IN KF CLAMAN DEMELO IS OUTSTANDING. In KF the good period of the Canadian Zachary Claman DeMelo on CRG-Bmb continues: he performed well in the heats on Saturday and, finally, he managed to grab an excellent second place in the last heat of the day. Great performance also for the Spanish Alex Palou at his first experience in this category on CRG-Parilla, third in one of the heats and always in the top ten. On the other hand, the KF2 World champion Felice Tiene had some troubles. Together with his KVS preparer he concentrated on the development of the new Parilla engine. Good qualifying, so far, also for Niclas Nylund, while the Japanese Fuma Horio, for the time being, occupies a half ranking position. Heats finish on Sunday morning.

IN KFJ DE FRANCESCO, SHWARTZMAN AND PEX PERFORM WELL. In the KF Junior, among the CRG drivers, Devlin De Francesco of DFR stands out together with the Russian Robert Shwartzman of Forza Racing and Stan Pex of CRG Holland, who even achieved a third place in one of the heats. Here too heats finish on Sunday morning.

MARTINEZ LEADER IN THE MINI. In the smallest category, the hard-fought 60 Mini, the Spanish Eliseo Martinez (CRG/Hero-Lke) of Gamoto Racing is the leader at the end of the qualifying heats thanks to a double win. La Conca (Lecce- Italy). On the international La Conca of Muro Leccese, the KZ1 category was characterized by CRG's performance during the first round of the WSK Euro Series: Fabian Federer achieved a resounding pole position, bringing CRG - in the most performing gearbox category - the performance of the CRG chassis powered by Modena Engines at its top

“This pole position was really surprising for me too - said Federer with satifaction - but the Modena Engine was really performing already in the two previous races, the WSK Master Series and the Winter Cup. During these last few weeks it has undergone further developments and these are the results, really excellent. Of course, the CRG chassis was as perfect as usual."

CRG-2013.jpg

MAX VERSTAPPEN ACHIEVES ANOTHER SUCCESS, THIS TIME IN KF2 AFTER WINNING IN KZ2 AT THE WSK MASTER SERIES IN LA CONCA. DAVIDE FORE’ STEPS ON THE PODIUM IN A HARD-FOUGHT KZ2. POSITIVE RESULTS ALSO FROM THE OTHER CRG DRIVERS, ALL READY FOR THE FORTHCOMING APPOINTMENTS.

Lonato del Garda (Brescia - Italy). CRG celebrates another Max Verstappen's brilliant success in the second, official appointment of the year for the 18th Winter Cup of Lonato, together with the excellent performances of all the other CRG drivers such as, for example, David Forè's one: he achieves the third place after a hard-fought KZ2.

VERSTAPPEN'S TRIUMPH IN KF2. Max Verstappen's success, this time, arrived in KF2, after the promising victory achieved in KZ2 at the beginning of the season in the WSK Master Series of La Conca.

The young CRG driver powered by TM, on this occasion too, was overwhelming in the final, leaving no chance to his rivals who had to settle for the remaining placings on the podium.

After being one of the the fastest since qualifying, setting the time only a millisecond from the leader, Verstappen, in the heats, achieved a 'hat-trick' winning them all.
Then, in the Pre-final, he was content with a second place behind the Danish Nielsen; but in the final nobody was able to be as fast as the Dutch driver. He took an early lead and kept until the end, with a remarkable lead over the other drivers.

In KF2, for the second time in a row, the Canadian Zachary Claman DeMelo (CRG-Bmb) showed his performing qualities: he won one of the heats and definitely showed to be ready to enter the group of the few top drivers, even though in the pre-final and in the final he was slowed down because of some contacts.

The Brazilian Vitor Baptista and the French Ingrid Girard were stopped by accidents and did not manage to pass the second-chance heats, as well as the Finnish Niclas Nylund, who could not join the finalists.

IN KZ2 PODIUM FOR FORE’. In KZ2 the best CRG driver was Davide Forè, powered by Maxter and with the colours of the Polish DTK Racing Team. He won one of the heats, then, in the pre-final, Forè was immediately among the leading drivers until an accident made him drop back of several positions. In the tussle of the final, the Italian driver was, once again, very fast and recovered many positions, as far as fourth place which became third after De Conto's 5-second penalty: De Conto crossed the finishing line first but he was punished for a crash with Ardigò.

Also Andrea Dalè (CRG-Maxter) achieved a remarkable streak of excellent performances. He was always very fast but, in the final, after an accident with Torsellini he had to settle for 9th. Fabian Federer (CRG-Modena) finished 14th; he, too, was slowed down by a crash at the start. The Austrian Marcel Muller (CRG-Parilla) had to retire in the second-chance race for another accident after the spectacular one he was involved in during one of the heats.

SHWARTZMAN PERFORMS WELL IN KF3. Among the young KF3 drivers, among the private drivers who raced for CRG, the best was the Russian Robert Shwartzman of the Forza Racing Team. He was able to recover many positions from the back rows and, finally, he arrived in 9th. On the other hand, the weekend was particularly tough for the promising Finnish driver Niko Kari of the LH Racing Team: he retired after an accident both in the pre-final and in the final.

NEXT EVENT. For CRG the next appointment is from 1st to 3rd March in La Conca for the first round of the WSK Euro Series.

THE INTERVIEWS

Euan Jeffery, CRG team manager: “This week has been really tough from the point of view of weather conditions. We even had snow during the first days of free practice, then, fortunately, the weather got better even though the track changed a lot throughout the racing days. Despite hard conditions, Max Verstappen was simply awesome and, in KF2 too, he was at top level after winning, two weeks before, in KZ2 in La Conca. Also Claman DeMelo did really well: it is a shame he had that accident in the final at the start, otherwise he would had finished in the first positions. Very positive the performances of Baptista, Nylund and Girard. KZ2 turned out to be a very hard-fought race in all the positions. We achieved podium with Forè, but also with Dalè and Federer we could have had good satisfaction if they had not been slowed down by crashes. Now, we are all focused on the WSK Euro Series, where we will be present with our whole official team."

Max Verstappen (KF2): “That's my second victory in a row this year, and it is also my second victory in KF2 at the Winter Cup. Of course I'm very satisfied. In the pre-final the rear of the chassis swerved a bit; then, in the final, the setup was adjusted and I had no problem at all. My next race is in La Conca for the WSK Euro Series, where I'll make my debut in KZ1, a very demanding category.”

Davide Forè (KZ2): “I'm very happy for my race. I'd like to say thank you to all the DTK Team; they gave me the opportunity to take part in this Winter Cup, and, of course, I do thank CRG President Giancarlo Tinini, who allowed me to participate. Many thanks to Maxter too, which gave me an excellent engine. I was fast during the whole week then, in the pre-final, after a contact I dropped back to 11th position. In the final everything worked and, with the exception of a contact with another driver, I was always very close to the leading positions and, finally, I achieved this podium which is very rewarding for me."

AFTER THE SUCCESS IN KZ2 IN THE WSK MASTER OF LA CONCA, MAX VERSTAPPEN TAKES PART IN THE KF CATEGORY OF THE WINTER CUP. IN LONATO WITH CRG IN KZ2 FEDERER AND MULLER. FORE’ RACES WITH THE POLISH TEAM DTK. GREAT EXPECTATIONS IN KF AND KFJ WITH THE PRIVATE TEAMS FORZA RACING AND LH.

Lonato del Garda (Brescia - Italy). After the opening event of the season - the WSK Master Series of La Conca - CRG is ready to face the second appointment and, this time, on the racetrack South Garda Karting of Lonato del Garda for the 18th edition of the Winter Cup.

An important event for the All Black team, not only for the importance of the race in itself, but also because it is the right occasion to find the ideal setting of the equipment for the forthcoming international championships.

VERSTAPPEN AT THE START IN KF. On this occasion, CRG official team has concentrated its presence in the KF category with a group of excellent drivers, starting with the young Dutch driver
Max Verstappen: after dominating in KZ2 in the last race in La Conca, this time he committed himself in the category without gearbox where, once again, he is the favourite.

Together with Verstappen also the Finnish Niclas Nylund, who had already made himself conspicuous in La Conca, as well as the Canadian Zachary Claman DeMelo, definitely at his ease in KF after last year's apprenticeship in KF3.

At the start in KF also the Brazilian Vitor Baptista and the French Ingrid Girard, who begin another promising season with CRG right in the Winter Cup.

READY TO THE BATTLE IN KZ2. In KZ2 Fabian Federer represents CRG official team with the new engine Modena Engines, which was already successfully used for the first time by the Italian driver himself in La Conca. In this race, directly assisted by CRG, also the Austrian Marcel Muller, while with the Polish team DTK Racing there is, occasionally, the five-time world champion Davide Forè side by side with Bartosz Idskowski. Among the many private drivers racing with CRG equipment also Andrea Dalè, well motivated to do a great performance on his home racetrack.

YOUNG DRIVERS TO THE LIMELIGHT. Among the young drivers of the KF Junior, CRG will be represented by the private team Forza Racing with the Russian Robert Shwartzman.

In KFJ there are great chances for the satellite team LH Racing, with the Swedish Matteo Raspatelli and Niko Kari. With LH in KF2 there are the other Swedish drivers Kevin Rossel, Igor Walilko, Johannes Heinonen, Jussi Kuusiniemi and Pedro Hildebrand.

MAX VERSTAPPEN ON CRG-TM IS UNBEATABLE IN THE OPENING EVENT OF THE WSK MASTER SERIES AND ACHIEVES A 'HAT TRICK'. ALSO THE OTHER CRG DRIVERS PERFORM WELL IN KZ2. TO BE PRAISED CLAMAN DE MELO, NYLUND AND IN HORIO IN KF. IN KF3 THE OTHER DRIVERS ARE RATHER UNLUCKY

Muro Leccese (Italy). The overall results for CRG are particularly good after the first event of the season: Max Verstappen, in KZ2, dominated the weekend on the International Circuit La Conca in the first round of the WSK Master Series. Good results also in all the other categories of the event.

IN KZ2 CRG-VERSTAPPEN TAKE ALL. The young Dutch driver, behind the wheel of his CRG-Tm assisted by his father Jos Verstappen, won also in the second and last Final on Sunday; he simply won all, from the pole to the double win in the heats on Saturday and the first Final, then - eventually - a double success in Sunday's heats and the last, resounding victory in the last Final.

A full success which confirms the competitiveness of all the technical equipment at the disposal of the Italian factory at the beginning of this season, enhanced - of course - by the indisputable talent of a fast driver like Max Verstappen.

Also the other CRG drivers behaved well in KZ2: the KZ1 European champion and winner of the 2012 WSK Euro Series, Jorrit Pex (Crg-Tm), arrived fourth after playing a leading role throughout the event; the private driver Andrea Dalè (CRG-Maxter), seventh after a great recovery because of a crash in the second morning heat; Lorenzo Camplese (CRG-Tm) was eighth. Also Fabian Federer performed well, always among the top drivers with the new engine by Modena Engines: he arrived in sixth but tenth in the final ranking hit by a 5-second penalty.

IN KF2 NYLUND BEHAVES WELL. In KF the best CRG driver was the Finnish Niclas Nylund (CRG-Bmb), ninth both in the final, after an impressive recovery, from the last rows of the pack after a technical failure at the start of the Pre-final. The Canadian Zachary Claman De Melo's (CRG-Bmb) performance was good too: 13th in the Final and absolutely at his ease at his debut in this category after last year's apprenticeship in KF3. The Japanes Fuma Horio (CRG-Bmb) was positive: he was among the finalists and arrived in 17th after an impressive recovery from the last position of the grid.
Among the drivers of the LH Racing Team with the LH chassis produced by CRG, the Danish Kevin Rossell was fifth in the final while his teammate, the Polish Igor Walilko placed 19th. In KF Dorian Boccolacci (Energy-Tm) won beating Armand Convers (Kosmic-Vortex) and Lance Stroll (Zanardi-Parilla) into second and third position.

APPRENTICESHIP FOR THE YOUNG DRIVERS IN KFJ. In the KFJ category, this race allowed the youngest CRG drivers to get some experience. Devlin De Francesco and Stan Pex were not very lucky: they had to retire after a crash in their Pre-finals. Robert Shwartzman (Crg-Tm) of the Forza Racing team was the most productive: 13th. Unfortunately the Finnish Niko Kari, of the LH Racing team, got involved in a crash towards the end of the race when occupying the 8th position. The category was won by Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart-Vortex), Lando Norris (FA-Vortex) and Parker Thompson (Energy-Tm) were second and third respectively.

DOUBLE PODIUM FOR CRG IN THE 60 MINI. CRG was well represented also in the smallest category of this WSK Master Series. After an incredible battle, Eliseo Martinez of the Gamoto Team was the runner-up after battling for victory until the last bend, while victory went to the young with Italian licence Kush Maini (Tony Kart-Lke). The other CRG driver, the Greek Konstantinos of AB Motorsport, arrived in third.

NEXT APPOINTMENT. The next WSK Master Series appointment is scheduled on the International Circuit Napoli of Sarno on 7th April, even though before that date, on 3rd March always in Muro Leccese, is in schedule the first round of the WSK Euro Series. Meanwhile, CRG will be again o track in Lonato next 17th February for the 18th edition of the Winter Cup.

THE INTERVIEWS

Euan Jeffery, CRG team manager: “In KZ2 we had excellent results, starting with Max Verstappen's victory: he won all the heats an both the finals. Also Jorrit Pex did well, even though he was slowed down by several accidents. In the Final he was always among the best. Fabian Federer deserves some praises too: he brought to the debut the Modena Engines engine. Once again the CRG drivers, both the private and the official ones, were the protagonists of the event. In KF we had the debut of Claman De Melo, a very aggressive driver who adapted himself immediately to the major category - he comes from KF3 - which adopts front brakes. Also Fuma Horio and Niclas Nylund showed in several moments of the weekend to be able to join the top drivers. Our three drivers were all powered by BMB, decidely competitive this year too. In KFJ we weren't very lucky, especially because of accidents which heavily conditioned our final performances. We are confident we can redeem ourselves very soon, starting from the Winter Cup and then with the WSK Euro Series when our ranks will be complete.”

Max Verstappen, KZ2: “Everything went well. The chassis and the engine were perfect and were an excellent match. I always started from the pole positions and, in the second final too, after the first tough laps I just controlled the race. My net race is the Winter Cup of Lonato, even though there I'll be racing in the KF category. This year I'll focus on two categories, hoping to win some prestigious title. Then, next year, I think I'll move to car-racing aiming at F1."

Muro Leccese (Italy). In the opening event of the WSK Master Series in La Conca, for the first out of four round of the season, CRG in KZ2 fields his young talent Max Verstappen (protagonist in KF in the past season); the Dutch driver immediately swept the board in the gerabox category, dominating his rivals since Friday's time trials. Verstappen's supremacy continued also on Saturday, during the first racing day, when the 15-year-old Dutch confirmed to be unbeatable in the two qualifying heats and, then, in the first final of the event.

VERSTAPPEN AND FEDERER ON THE PODIUM. In KZ2, together with Verstappen (who ran powered by a TM engine assisted by his father Jos Verstappen, former F1 driver) also the excellent Fabian Federer did well for CRG. He is racing powered by the new Modena Engines, which made their debut in this international appointment thanks to the former European champion. Federer achieved a brilliant third place in the Final behind Hanley after two fourth places in the two heats.

Among the private CRG drivers Andrea Dalè on CRG-Maxter was the best with his ninth place.

On the other hand, the other CRG champion, Jorrit Pex, is a bit behind. the Dutch, winner in the KZ1 European championship and in the WSK Euro Series, had some troubles in recovering in the final after a crash at the start. He eventually arrived in 13th. KZ2 again on track on Sunday with the other two heats and the second final, aired live on the website www.stopandgo.tv.

CRG PROTAGONISTS IN KF AND KFJ. CRG gathered good results also in the qualifying of the other categories of this first event of the WSK Master Series, even though some crashes prevented the All Black drivers to get what they deserved.

Anyway, in KF (formerly KF1 and KF2) excellent performances for the Canadian Zachary Claman De Melo, of the Japanese Fuma Horio and of the Finnish Niclas Nylund (all on CRG-Bmb). Here the best results in the heats were achieved by Claman De Melo and Nylung (5th), and Horio (9th).

The last racing day, Sunday, has in schedule for the KF category, after the second-chance heats, the pre-final and the final, while for the other category, the KFJ (ex KF3) drivers are taking part in the two prefinals and then the final.

In KFJ CRG is represented by the Dutch Stan Pex, the English Billy Monger and the Russian Robert Shwartzman (Forza Racing team), besides the American Devlin De Francesco. In the prefinal they will start a bit behind because of several problems they had in the tussle of Saturday's heats.

Here it was the Finnish Niko Kari (LH-Bmb) of the LH Racing team who made himself conspicuous thanks to his third place in the last heat after leading the race for some laps.

CRG LEADS IN THE 60 MINI TOO. In the smallest category of this first racing weekend of the WSK Master Series, the 60 Mini, excellent the two CRG-Lke drivers of the Gamoto team: rthe young Spanish Eliseo Martinez and Abdul Gafar Muizzuddin Musyaffa (picture above), respectively second and third after the qualifying heats. Sunday's final phase of the 60 Mini has in schedule the prefinal and the final.
