EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE FOR THE CRG DRIVERS AT THEIR FIRST APPOINTMENT IN THE GERMAN CHAMPIONSHIP. IN BOTH THE FINALS PEX, FORE’ AND OTT ACHIEVE THE FIRST THREE POSITIONS OF THE PODIUM.

Lonato del Garda (Brescia - Italy). Another great result for CRG in Germany last weekend on the racetrack of Ampfing, in the first out of five rounds of the German championship, DKM Deutsche Kart Meisterschaft, with 140 entrants coming from 18 different countries.

The KZ2 race of Ampfing was literally dominated by last year's edition winner, the Dutch Jorrit Pex of the CRG Holland team, Davide Forè of the Polish team DTK and the German Stefan Ott of CRG Holland, all on CRG-Tm.

After setting the fastest time ahead of Forè, Jorrit Pex won both the finals of the German event, always preceding an excellent Davide Forè and a surprising Stefan Ott.

CRG WINS HANDS DOWN THANKS TO PEX, FORE’ AND OTT. For Jorrit Pex, the 2012 champion of the German Championship and of the WSK Euro Series, this is the first double success of the season. Now, the young Dutch driver is the current leader of the category in the DKM with 52 points; David Forè follows 12 points behind. The Italian driver battled for victory in both the finals and even set the fastest time of the second final.

Tough battle also for the third place. In both the finals it was the German driver Stefan Ott who managed to get it after a thrilling battle with the other competitors. Ott is now the third of the standings with 32 points.

Also the other German driver of CRG Holland, Marcel Jeleniowski, made himself conspicuous thanks to an excellent fourth place achieved in Final 1: so, eventually, there were four CRG karts in the first four positions in race 1.

NEXT APPOINTMENTS. The forthcoming appointments of the German Championship are on 5th May in Wackersdorf, on 14th July in Kerpen, on 18th August in Hahn and on 13th October in Genk in Belgium.

TOUGH WEEKEND FOR THE CRG DRIVERS IN SARNO FOR THE SECOND ROUND OF THE WSK MASTER SERIES. THE BEST RESULT IS ACHIEVED BY PEX IN KZ2 THANKS TO TWO THIRD PLACES. VERSTAPPEN GETS TWO GOOD PLACEMENTS BUT NOTHING MORE. GOOD PERFORMANCE FOR FEDERER. HORIO AND NYLAND, IN KF, GOT SLOWED DOWN BY AN ACCIDENT

Lonato del Garda (Brescia - Italy). CRG had a hard time during the weekend in Sarno, on the International Circuit Napoli for the second round of the WSK Master Series. Anyway, things were not as bad as it may seem: Jorrit Pex - competitive as usual - managed to step twice onto the podium in both the finals, after battling for victory. Verstappen was the other bright spot of the weekend: he achieved two placements, managed to keep the top of the standings and the championship seems to be tightly in his hands.

VERSTAPPEN'S WINNING STREAK HAS COME TO AN END. Six victories in a row in KZ for Max Verstappen, but in Sarno the Dutch driver's winning streak has finally come to an end. After his double win in the WSK Master Series of Muro Leccese and his four victories in a row in the WSK Euro Series of Muro Leccese and Zuera, in Sarno Verstappen had to be content with two placements which, anyway, allowed him to keep a 31-point lead over his pursuers in the championship. Jorrit Pex is the sixth of the standings.

In Saturday's first final, Pex grabbed the third place right at the end of the race. The winner was Paolo De Conto, while Charles Leclerc was the runner-up. Verstappen, after two rather unlucky qualifying heats, was the protagonist of a great recovery from 18th to 6th position.
He even set the fastest lap time.

In Final 2, on Sunday, the two CRG Holland Dutch drivers were among the major protagonists, with Jorrit Pex third, again, after a good performance which saw him always in the top positions. He finished behind Riccardo Negro and Charles Leclerc. An excellent Max Verstappen, seventh after a thrilling recovery from the last row of the starting grid where he got relegated because of two unlucky qualifying heats.

Fabian Federer's overall performance, on CRG-Modena, was good too. He placed seventh in Sarno after the first final on Saturday, while in Sunday's second final he had to pull over - when he was fifth - with one third of the race remaining for a technical failure to his bumper. Federer now occupies the 8th position of the championship standings.
HORIO AND NYLAND INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT IN KF. In KF, the two CRG drivers participating in the WSK Master Series of Sarno were the Japanese Fuma Horio and the Finnish Niclas Nylund, both on CRG-Bmb. They both managed to qualify for the final phase at the end of hard qualifying heats where Horio's best results were two second places, while Nylund achieved a good fourth place. Then, great expectations after the Pre-final, especially for Nylund who placed 9th.
Unfortunately, a double crash at the beginning of the Final prevented the two drivers from getting the good result they deserved: Nylund was obliged to pull over, while Fuma dropped back to the back positions and did not manage to close the gap. In KF the winner was Karol Basz, the runner-up Dorian Boccolacci. Third Martin Kodric.

DE FRANCESCO AND MONGER FINALISTS IN KFJ. Among the young CRG drivers of the private teams of the KFJ, the best was Devlin De Francesco on CRG-Bmb (DFR). His performance in the final phase was excellent: he achieved a great recovery from the last positions on the starting grid due to bad qualifying. In the Pre-final he recovered from 17th to 11th, while in the Final, where he started from the 21st slot on the starting grid, he placed 18th. The English Billy Monger (Forza Racing) placed 24th in the Final, after his 13th place in the Pre-final. The Russian Nikita Mazepin was the KFJ winner.

BITTER FINAL FOR MARTINEZ. In the 60 Mini, the young Eliseo Martinez on CRG/Hero-Lke of the Gamoto team had a rather unlucky weekend and, finally, he had to leave the leadership of the standings to Kush Maini. In Sarno, Martinez only managed to get a fifth place in the Pre-final and the 8 points he gathered at least allowed him to keep the second place of the standings, ahead of Rasmus Lindh, winner in the Final. In the Final, Martinez got hit from behind and only got a seventeenth place, right ahead of the other Gamoto driver Kostantinos. Abdul Gafar Muizzuddin, on the other hand, placed 8th and he is now 9th in the championship.

VERSTAPPEN ARRIVES AS THE KZ2 LEADER. In this second round of the WSK Master Series, in KZ2 CRG official team presents the current leader of the Series, the young Dutch driver Max Verstappen (picture above), who was simply unbeatable in his first part of the season, and not only in this category: in fact, he has already won also in KZ1 and in KF2 in the season opening race, the Winter Cup. After winning the first two finals of the Master Series in Muro Leccese, Verstappen – on CRG-Tm - can boast an unprecedented winning and steady pace, thanks to his streak of victories which includes the two double KZ1 finals in the Euro Series in Muro Leccese and, last week, in Zuera. FOURTH WIN IN FOUR RACES FOR MAX VERSTAPPEN IN KZ1. EXCELLENT THIRD PLACE FOR JORDON LENNOX-LAMB, AT HIS DEBUT POWERED BY A PARILLA ENGINE; JORRIT PEX PLACES FOURTH. JONATHAN THONON RECOVERS AS FAR AS TENTH. FELICE TIENE ACHIEVES SUCCESS IN KF.

Zuera (Spain). Satisfactory weekend for CRG, in Spain for the second round of the WSK Euro Series. The team was successful in both the top categories of the event of Zuera, KZ1 and KF. Max Verstappen (CRG-Tm) wins hands down for the fourth time: he stepped on the highest step of the podium in KZ1 together with his teammate Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG-Parilla), excellent third in Sunday's final and at his debut with a Parilla engine. Great success also for Felice Tiene in the KF final: on his CRG-Parilla for the second time, he immediately achieved success in a race which had all the characteristics of a world championship.

CRG DOMINATES IN KZ1. The Spanish weekend for CRG had started well since practice; then, the good impression got after practice was confirmed by the results of the first racing day and its KZ1 final, won by the quick Max Verstappen. The Dutch driver won again on Sunday, achieving an impressive winning streak of four victories in this WSK Euro Series edition after his full success in the last round of Muro Leccese. On the podium also a super Jordon Lennox-Lamb. When the light of the final turned green he had a bad start, but then he achieved the nth great recovery from the 10th position of the first lap to his final third position. His performance at the debut with a Parilla engine was really outstanding.

However, it must be pointed out that there were three CRG chassis in the first four positions of this KZ1 Spanish final, with the European champion Jorrit Pex (CRG-Tm) excellent fourth and as competitive as his teammates at the beginning of this championship.

It is a shame that, together with the top drivers, we don't find Jonathan Thonon (CRG-Maxter). He was the pole-man and the runner-up of the first final, right behind Verstappen. Unfortunately, at the start of the second heat on Sunday, the four-time world champion got hit from behind and dropped back to 16th slot on the starting grid of the final. He recovered as far as tenth and, anyway, he was among the major protagonists of the weekend. Davide Forè, on the other hand, closed his race a bit behind because of a three-second penalty he got after a contact with Ardigò.

With four victories out of four finals, Verstappen has a wide lead in the championship: 100 points over his nearest rival, Hanley. In the top ten also Jorrit Pex, third, Jordon Lennox-Lamb fifth, Jonathan Thonon eighth.

In KZ2, which hailed another Marco Zanchetta's success on Maranello-Tm, the private drivers on CRG in final 2 had several troubles. The best was the Polish Bartosz Idzkowski, 14th on CRG-Maxter of DTK team.

IN KF FELICE TIENE IN PEAK PHYSICAL FORM. In KF the 2012 world champion Felice Tiene held the stage and won a thrilling final, after his brilliant performance in the qualifying heats and in the pre-final, where he battled for victory until the end and got a final third place. In the final, Tiene, after keeping at bay his competitors at the beginning of the race, built up a wide gap and led the race with the same powerful way he used last year to win the world championship right on this track. And, this time, Tiene won on a CRG powered by a Parilla engine prepared by KVS, at its second performance of the year and already very competitive.

The victory in Zuera gives confidence and now there are great expectations for the rest of the season. For the time being, Felice Tiene, thanks to this result, is third in the championship, only 30 points behind the leader.

Also the other CRG drivers performed well, but in the final, mainly because of several contacts with their rivals, finished a bit behind: Zachary Claman DeMelo was 17th, Niclas Nylund 21st. Disappointment for the Spanish Alex Palou: after achieving a promising 10th place in the pre-final, he could not participate in the last race for a technical trouble. The two Japanese drivers Fuma Horio and Yuta Shiraishi did not manage to qualify.

In the KF Junior, among the private drivers on CRG, the best result was achieved by the American Devlin De Francesco, 13th in the final. The Finnish Niko Kari, on a LH chassis, placed 11th.

THE INTERVIEWS. Euan Jeffery, crg team manager: “In KZ1 we showed once again how our drivers are among the top protagonists of the weekend, thanks to the excellent performances not only of the official drivers but also of the private ones. Verstappen and his competitiveness were joined by the top performances of Lennox and Pex. Lennox achieved a great recovery, with an excellent debut for the Parilla engine. We are sorry for Thonon, because he stood a good chance for victory. In KF, Felice Tiene controlled a perfect race. He was as brilliant as in last year's World Championship, where he won. Great results also for the development carried out by KVS on the Parilla Engine after its first time in Muro Leccese. Alex Palou could have been another protagonist, but a technical trouble at the start prevented him from taking part in the final. Good performance for all the other CRG drivers in KF."

Max Verstappen (KZ1): “This weekend for me was hard if compared to the one in La Conca. we were all very close. After my victory in final 1, in final 2 I had a bad start, but then I passed Hanley and built up a good gap which allowed me to control the race. Now I have a 100-point lead in the championship: this makes me think I stand a good chance to win the WSK Euro Series.”

Felice Tiene (KF): "I was almost more satisfied for this victory in Zuera than for my world champion title. After the technical trouble we had with the engine during the first race in Muro Lecese, the KVS technicians managed to do a great job in a very short time and allowed me to race at the top and to battle for victory. There is still something missing to get to the top, but KVS progress is really remarkable. That's why I'm happy and confident both for the European and World championships."

Jordon Lennox-Lamb (KZ1): “The start in KZ has never been my strong point. I need to improve it, also because I could have achieved a better result if I had started regularly from my slot in second row. Anyway, I'm happy for my competitiveness in the race: this Parilla engine was immediately satisfactory. There is still something which needs to be fixed, especially the carburettor, but on the whole it is a great engine and we are ready for the European championship."

IN THE FIRST FINAL ON SATURDAY, ANOTHER WIN FOR MAX VERSTAPPEN AND GREAT PERFORMANCE FOR JONATHAN THONON WHO CLINCHES THE POLE POSITION AND THEN PLACES SECOND. ALSO ALEX PALOU AND FELICE TIENE, WHO WINS TWO HEATS IN KF, BEHAVE WELL. ON SUNDAY MORNING QUALIFYING HEATS FINISH THEN, IN THE AFTERNOON, THE FINAL PHASE.

Zuera (Spain). CRG has immediately showed what is capable of in Spain, on the International circuit of Zuera for the second round of the WSK Euro series. In KZ1 Max "the legend" Verstappen (CRG-Tm) was not the only CRG driver to put in the usual terrific performance: this time also Jonathan Thonon (CRG-Maxter) and Jordon Lennox (CRG-Parilla) joined in. They gave excellent performance during qualifying, in the heats and, above all, in Saturday's final.

IN KZ1 VERSTAPPEN-THONON FIRST AND SECOND. After Verstappen's predominance during free practice, it was an outstanding Jonathan Thonon who clinched the pole position in qualifying. Then, on Saturday's heats, the two CRG drivers won in both of them: Verstappen in heat-1 and Thonon in heat-2, while Lennox - powered by the new Parilla engine - took centre stage in the Final, where the driver achieved a remarkable recovery from the 24th position (because of two accidents in the two heats) to the seventh. He even set the fastest lap of the race.
Verstappen, too, did a great recovery in the Final: from tenth (for a clutch issue in the second heat) to second behind the winner, Ardigo', with Thonon third and absolutely happy for his comeback among KZ1 top drivers.

The real surprise of the race arrived at the end, when Ardigò got disqualified for a technical irregularity. So, Verstappen gained his third win in the WSK Euro Series and widened his lead over his rivals in the championship standings; Thonon was the runner-up, a great result for his morale too. Lennox was sixth.
Some technical troubles for Jorrit Pex (CRG-Tm) and Davide Forè (CRG-Maxter), as well as for Fabian Federer (CRG-Modena), even though the three drivers count on Sunday's Final to get what they deserve.
In KZ2, with Marco Zanchetta (Maranello-Tm) winner, the best CRG private driver was the Spanish Luis Gonzales (CRG-Modena), ninth.

FELICE TIENE AT THE TOP IN KF. Excellent news for CRG also from Saturday's KF heats, with Felice Tiene (CRG-Parilla), in the picture above, playing a leading role once again thanks to his two wins and a third place in the three heats. The same can be said about Alex Palou with his two eighth places and a fifth. Among the LH Racing drivers, special mention for Pedro Hiltbrand Aguilar, third in one of the heats. Qualifying heats continue on Sunday Morning. For the other four CRG drivers - Niclas Nylund, Fuma Horio, Zachary Claman DeMelo and Yuta Shiraishi - we need to wait for the final results of the heats to see which position they will have in the final phase.

PROGRAMME. Sunday 24th March. Warm-up from 8.10; Qualifying heats from 9.30; Pre-final KFJ 12.10; Pre-final KF 14.00; Final-2 KZ2 14.30; Final KFJ 15.00; Final-2 KZ1 15.30; Final KF 16.00.

IN KZ1 MAX VERSTAPPEN LEADS THE RANKING FOLLOWED BY JORRIT PEX: THEY ARE BOTH READY TO BATTLE ON THE SPANISH TRACK TOO. IN KF FELICE TIENE COMES BACK ON THE TRACK WHERE HE WON LAST YEAR'S KF2 WORLD TITLE. GOOD EXPECTATIONS ALSO FOR THE SPANISH ALEX PALOU. THE JAPANESE YUTA SHIRAISHI IS AT HIS DEBUT ON CRG. IN KFJ PRIVATE TEAMS AT THE START.

Lonato del Garda (Brescia - Italy). This weekend, with the arrival of the spring, it is time for the second round of the WSK Euro Series in Spain, in Zuera, where the CRG official team is ready to play - as usual - a leading role and to show the excellent performing qualities of its technical equipment in all the categories.

The event in schedule on the fast racetrack of Zuera (Spain) is definitely an important one: after the event the situation of the rankings is definitely going to be interesting and, with the four round championship at its halfway point, we will be able to have a clearer idea about the values of drivers and teams, with CRG, especially in KZ1, standing a great chance to confirm its leadership and to widen its lead in the ranking thanks to Max Verstappen and Jorrit Pex.

VERSTAPPEN AND PEX LEAD IN KZ1. Max Verstappen (CRG-Tm) is defending his leadership in KZ1. He can boast a full success in the first round of Muro Leccese and 85 points in the ranking. Verstappen is followed by his teammate of CRG Holland Jorrit Pex (CRG-Tm), 40 points.

Great expectations in Zuera also for the performance of the 2012 KZ2 World champion Jordon Lennox-Lamb, immediately competitive in Muro Leccese too despite his bad luck for an accident in Race-2. At his debut in the top category, the KZ1, he was immediately among the best drivers.

Jonathan Thonon and Davide Forè, both on CRG-Maxter, are ready to redeem themselves after their unlucky performances in Muro Leccese, where they got involved in some accidents and had some technical troubles. The two CRG drivers have to climb up the ranking as well as Fabian Federer, excellent poleman with the CRG-Modena but then, during the races, slowed down by penalties at the start and involved in a couple of accidents in his first race of the year in the WSK Euro Series.

Among the private drivers racing with CRG, in KZ1 Andrea Dalè (CRG-Maxter) and Lorenzo Camplese (CRG-Tm), in KZ2 the Spanish Luis Gonzales, Alvaro Gomez Oriol, Suarez Villanueva.

IN KF CRG STRIKES BACK. In the KF category, CRG keeps on developing the new Parilla engine and, on this occasion too, CRG fields a good number of top drivers, beginning with the reigning world champion in KF2 Felice Tiene, who won last year's title right on the track of Zuera with a terrific "hat-trick" preceding Verstappen and Lennox. Togetehr with Tiene the Spanish Alex Palou, who is expected to do a good performance on his home circuit and who did well at his debut in this category in Muro Leccese too, and the Finnish Niclas Nylund, the Japanese Fuma Horio, the Canadian Zachary Claman DeMelo, all on CRG-Parilla.

From this appointment onward, at his debut on CRG, another interesting Japanese driver, Yuta Shiraishi, tenth in one of last year's finals in Macau in the KF1 World Championship and near to his debut in car-racing in Formula Abarth.

FOCUS ON THE KFJ YOUNG DRIVERS. In the KF Junior, CRG participates with private teams and several young drivers, such as the DFR team which fields the interesting Devlin De Francesco, then Forza Racing with the quick Robert Shwartzman and Billy Monger, PF International with Philip Rawson, CRG Holland with Stan Pex, and the Spanish drivers of the M2 Racing team, Marta Garcia, Xavier Lloveras and Lisard Santos.

Also the LH Racing team has a good number of competitive drivers. In KF, with Lewis Hamilton's brand, there are the Danish Kevin Rossel, the two Finnish Jussi Kuusiniemi and Johannes Heinonen, the Spanish Pedro Hiltbrand Aguilar. In KFJ the LH team fields the Finnish Niko Kari and the Belgian Matteo Raspatelli.

In this appointment also the 60 Mini, which will run again for the WSK Euro Series on 21st April in Sarno for the event which will assign the title for this category.

PROGRAMME. Friday 22nd April. Free practice from 8.20 to 17.35.
Saturday 23rd April. Warm-up from 8.10; Qualifying from 9.25; Superpole KFJ and KF at 11.00; Qualifying heats from 11.40; Final 1 KZ2 15.40; Finale1 KZ1 17.20.
Sunday 24th April. Warm-up from 8.10; Qualifying heats from 9.30; Prefinal KFJ 12.10; Prefinal KF 14.00; Final-2 KZ2 14.30; Final KFJ 15.00; Final-2 KZ1 15.30; Final KF 16.00.

MAX VERSTAPPEN DOMINATES THE KZ1 WITH JORRIT PEX THIRD ON THE PODIUM OF FINAL FINAL-2 AFTER THE FIRST TWO PLACES OF FINAL 1 ON SATURDAY. LENNOX AND FEDERER GOT INVOLVED IN A CRASH.
IN KF GOOD DEBUT FOR ALEX PALOU. IN THE 60 MINI THE LEADER IS ELISEO MARTINEZ OF THE GAMOTO TEAM.

La Conca (Lecce - Italy). Another terrific victory for CRG in KZ1 thanks to the young and fast Dutch driver Max Verstappen: with his CRG-Tm, on the International circuit La Conca of Muro Leccese dominated the first round of the WSK Euro Series. Also Verstappen's teammate, Jorrit Pex, always on CRG-Tm, did a great performance and deservedly stepped onto the podium of Sunday's Final after placing second in Saturday's Final.

In this first round of the international season of the Euro Series, CRG in KZ1 was the absolute protagionist thanks to many of its drivers. And the final result could have been even more resounding if Fabian Federer, poleman in qualifying on his CRG chassis powered by Modena Engines, and
Jordon Lennox-Lamb, who achieved an impressing series of excellent performances on his CRG chassis powered by Maxter, had not got involved in a crash during Sunday's final.

The flawless and overwhelming double success achieved by Max Verstappen in the two finals on Saturday and Sunday - at his first experience in KZ1, besides confirming the usual performing qualities of the CRG chassis in the most powerful category of international karting - is a further sign of the great talent of the young, Dutch driver, who is getting more and more successful. The son of the former F1 driver Jos Verstappen is literally dominating the ranking of this first part of the season: his previous wins in the WSK Master Series in KZ2 and in the Winter Cup in KF2 say it all..

“This year is very important for me - confirmed Verstappen after his triumph in KZ1 in Muro Leccese - . I aim at winning in all the categories, both in KF and in KZ. Next year I'll move to car-racing and I'd like to win as many titles as possible in karting. I race in ideal condition, with a fantastic CRG chassis and powered by a really competitive TM engine. I'm really happy for how my season has begun. In La Conca the weekend was good for all of us, for me and for Jorrit Pex too, also thanks to excellent team work. On Saturday we arrived in first and second, on Sunday first and third. A great beginning thanks to CRG and TM. I felt like fying..."

IN KZ1 VERSTAPPEN AND PEX RULE. After this first round, Max Verstappen and Jorrit Pex occupy the first two positions of the WSK Euro Series in KZ1, with 85 and 40 points respectively.
About the other CRG drivers in KZ1, there is some disappointment for Jordon Lennox-Lamb: powered by a Maxter engine directly prepared by the Factory, he placed fourth in the first Saturday's final, while on Sunday's final, after starting from first position, he was obliged to retire for a contact with Fabian Federer which damaged one of the wheel-rims. Federer, on the other hand, after setting a record lap in qualifying, had to be content with the 8th place in race 2 after placing 10th in race 1. In race 1, anyway, Federer was the protagonist of a great recovery from the bottom of the pack where he got relegated after being hit by some penalties during the heats. In Sunday's final Davide Forè, on CRG-Maxter, managed to place 11th despite a sore hand he got after an accident with his teammate Andrea Dalè. For Jonathan Thonon it was a troubled weekend despite his speed was excellent. Some technical troubles in Final-2 obliged him to give in despite a promising series of overtaking manoeuvres at the beginning of the race.
In KZ2 victory went o Marco Zanchetta on Maranello. In Final 2, on Sunday, Giovanni Martinez on CRG-Maxter achieved a promising 8th place. On the other hand, Daniele Delli Compagni (CRG-Tm), who in the first final on Saturday placed 9th, was obliged to retire.

ALEX PALOU IN KF IS IMMEDIATELY COMPETITIVE. In KF the Spanish Alex Palou, on CRG-Parilla, at his debut in this category after last year's victory in KF3, showed all his performing qualities. He managed to enter the Superpole after qualifying and then, did well in the heats and he even won in the last qualifying race, although he was eventually hit by a 10-second penalty for jump start. In the Pre-final he closed the gap and reached the 8th place. Then, in the final, he arrived in 12th. Tough start in KF2, on the other hand, for Felice Tiene: he is engaged in the development of the new Parilla engine and, in the Final, he did not manage to start for a trouble with the carburettor. Other troubles and accidents occurred to the other CRG divers, such as the Finnish Niclas Nylund, 22nd in the Final, and Zachary Claman DeMelo, 28th after a promising 13th place in the Pre-final and a second place in one of the heats. In qualifying the Japanese Fuma Horio got involved in a series of accidents and he did not manage to enter the final phase.
The best performance among the LH Racing Team drivers was achieved by the Spanish Pedro Hiltbrand Aguilar, on LH-Parilla, with a good 13th place in the Final.

IN KFJ STAN PEX IS THE BEST. In KF Junior, the best among the CRG private drivers was Stan Pex, 15th in the Final, while Billy Monger (19th) and Robert Shwartzman (21st), both driving for Forza Racing, finished a bit behind. Devlin De Francesco, in the Final, got disqualified for not having taken heed of a warning. That is a real shame, because the American driver had finished 8th at the end of the heats.

MARTINEZ'S BID FOR THE 60 MINI TITLE. In the 60 Mini there was the confirmation of the great competitiveness of the Gamoto Team and of its drivers on CRG/Hero-Lke. They were all protagonists of the race until the final victory of the Spanish Eliseo Martinez and of the second place of the Malaysian Abdul Gafar Muizzuddin. With this excellent result, the two young drivers are leading the ranking with 85 and 40 points respectively: this could be a winning bid for the title which will be assigned next round in Sarno on 21st April.

NEXT EVENT. The second round of the WSK Euro Series is in Zuera on 24th March.

THE INTERVIEWS. Euan Jeffery, CRG team manager CRG: “In KZ1 we had another great weekend thanks to Max Verstappen, who won almost all. He just missed victory in one of the heats because he slipped on the water leaked from the radiator of one of his rivals. His performance in KZ1 was really amazing. Jorrit Pex, too, did well and gained a well deserved podium. We are sorry for Jordon Lennox-Lamb and Fabian Federer. they got involved in a crash. On the whole, this race too showed how outstanding are the qualities of the CRG chassis: there were moments in the Final where we could see 7-8 CRG drivers in the first 15 positions. Both Thonon and Forè had some technical troubles, otherwise they would have been able to achieve a good result too. In KF2 we met some problems in developing the new Iame engine but we are sure we can reach the necessary competitiveness to battle for victory. In KFJ we did quite well also with the young drivers of the private teams, but in the final, for a series of problems, they did not manage to reach the first positions. In the 60 Mini the Gamoto Team, with our chassis, played the leading role of the category throughout the whole weekend."

Max Verstappen: “The weekend started well and ended even better. We were fast since free practice. We had some troubles in qualifying, but the third place was not too bad. Then, for the heats, we changed the setting of the chassis and we easily won. I did not win any heat because I slipped off the track when I put my tyres on the water leaked from someone's kart: I arrived first and I went off the track."

Jorrit Pex: “For me it was a good weekend. I was always in the top positions and very close to max, who this time was really unbeatable. I'm happy for the result, because both I and Verstappen were on the podium. A double podium which is really satisfactory for us."

Jordon Lennox-Lamb: “I made a mistake in the start of Final 1, where I was in the front row. I dropped back and I had a contact with Federer. I damaged the wheel-rim and I had to pull over. Anyway, I'm happy for the way my first week in KZ1 went. I was always among the top drivers powered by my Maxter engine directly prepared by the Factory. This is very important for me."

Jonathan Thonon: “I didn't get a good result, but my laps were really good, both in the heats and in the finals. This is my first race of the year and I'm happy for the speed reached. In the Final, before my retirement, I did a series of good overtaking manoeuvres, but a technical trouble obliged me to stop. That's a shame because I felt at my ease on the kart and the chassis was really excellent. I could have finished with the top drivers. The weekend confirmed that the CRG chassis in KZ1 are the overall most performing and this is a good thing for the Company."

Alex Palou: “This is my first experience in KF2 and it is not easy, especially because my rivals are really strong. It is harder than in KF3; here the skill of the drivers is much better. I find at my ease with the driving: the front brake that they have in KF2 is new for me, but I didn't have particular troubles. I hope to do well as soon as possible, starting from the next race on my home circuit in Zuera."

La Conca (Lecce - Italy). Max Verstappen is unstoppable and wins hands down also in KZ1 in the opening round of the WSK Euro Series on the international circuit La Conca of Muro Leccese. The Dutch driver on CRG-Tm wins the first final on Saturday after winning the two qualifying heats in the morning.

VERSTAPPEN'S FIRST SUCCESS IN KZ1. After winning in KZ2 in the first round of the WSK Master Series at the beginning of February and, a fortnight later, in KF2 in the Winter Cup of Lonato, Max Verstappen was simply unbeatable also in KZ1 in this first of the WSK Euro series.

The excellent CRG's result in the first KZ1 Final on Saturday was completed by the second place achieved by Jorrit Pex (CRG-Tm), CRG Holland's standard-bearer, who got an early lead deservedly but was then obliged to give in when Verstappen closed the gap - the Dutch driver had lost some positions at the start.
For CRG the 'hat-trick' was completed by the excellent fourth position of Jordon Lennox-Lamb on CRG-Maxter directly prepared by the factory. He, too, led an outstanding race and arrived in fourth, even setting the fastest time.

In the top ten there is also Andrea Dalè, on CRG-Maxter, eighth. Bad luck, on the other hand, for Friday's poleman Fabian Federer, on CRG-Modena, who wasted his advantage with two jump-starts in the two morning heats: both the jump-starts were punished by 10-second penalties. So, in his final he had to close the gap and he managed to recover as far as 11th place.
Davide Forè (CRG-Maxter) placed 14th preceding Lorenzo Camplese (CRG-Tm), while Jonathan Thonon was obliged to retire for a technical trouble after an excellent series of overtaking manoeuvres and fast laps.

in KZ2 Final-1, won by Negro, Alfredo Delli Compagni on CRG-Tm placed 9th, Giovanni Martinez (CRG-Maxter), at his debut in this category, 13th after closing the gap from the bottom of the pack.

IN KF CLAMAN DEMELO IS OUTSTANDING. In KF the good period of the Canadian Zachary Claman DeMelo on CRG-Bmb continues: he performed well in the heats on Saturday and, finally, he managed to grab an excellent second place in the last heat of the day. Great performance also for the Spanish Alex Palou at his first experience in this category on CRG-Parilla, third in one of the heats and always in the top ten. On the other hand, the KF2 World champion Felice Tiene had some troubles. Together with his KVS preparer he concentrated on the development of the new Parilla engine. Good qualifying, so far, also for Niclas Nylund, while the Japanese Fuma Horio, for the time being, occupies a half ranking position. Heats finish on Sunday morning.

IN KFJ DE FRANCESCO, SHWARTZMAN AND PEX PERFORM WELL. In the KF Junior, among the CRG drivers, Devlin De Francesco of DFR stands out together with the Russian Robert Shwartzman of Forza Racing and Stan Pex of CRG Holland, who even achieved a third place in one of the heats. Here too heats finish on Sunday morning.

MARTINEZ LEADER IN THE MINI. In the smallest category, the hard-fought 60 Mini, the Spanish Eliseo Martinez (CRG/Hero-Lke) of Gamoto Racing is the leader at the end of the qualifying heats thanks to a double win. La Conca (Lecce- Italy). On the international La Conca of Muro Leccese, the KZ1 category was characterized by CRG's performance during the first round of the WSK Euro Series: Fabian Federer achieved a resounding pole position, bringing CRG - in the most performing gearbox category - the performance of the CRG chassis powered by Modena Engines at its top

IN KZ1 CRG LEADER IN QUALIFYING. Besides Federer, in KZ1 CRG saw three of its driver in the first four positions, with Max Verstappen on CRG-Tm third 75 milliseconds behind and Jorrit Pex, always on CRG-Tm, fourth at 104 milliseconds. In the top ten of the KZ1 also Jordon Lennox-Lamb, seventh at 0”191 on CRG-Maxter powered by the engine developed directly by the factory, and Jonathan Thonon, eighth at 0”215 on CRG Maxter powered by the engine developed by Savard.

So, great satisfaction for the driver from Sudtirol Fabian Federer, KZ2 European champion in 2011, powered by a Modena engine designed by the engineer from Bolzano Roland Holzner. The engine, at his third race of the year, immediately helped to achieve the overall best time.
“This pole position was really surprising for me too - said Federer with satifaction - but the Modena Engine was really performing already in the two previous races, the WSK Master Series and the Winter Cup. During these last few weeks it has undergone further developments and these are the results, really excellent. Of course, the CRG chassis was as perfect as usual."
